MORE ABOUT The Chambers restaurant, Southsea
Born in 2012, The Chambers was formerly a solicitor’s office, one of many situated in Landport Terrace, Southsea. The décor is that of a typical London Gentlemen’s Club. The antiques and taxidermy add character and charm, creating a warm welcoming environment.
The Chambers is a true “Tardis”, in that it is bigger on the inside then it looks from the outside. Seating over 100 customers, although thin, the restaurant extends back a long way, and also has two upstairs private dinging areas, connected by a roof terrace. This makes the upstairs an ideal area, for catering for weddings, private parties, corporate events etc.
The food menu changes with the seasons, catering for most tastes, including vegetarians and vegans alike. We use only local suppliers, and try to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. The majority of our ingredients are locally sourced, and all our food is freshly prepared on site.
We have draught lager and a pale ale, as well as Guinness on a special surger unit. Our spirit list is very extensive, one of the largest in Portsmouth. With over 40 gins, 22 vodkas and various dark spirits, there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste.
For those warmer days, we have seating outside the front of the restaurant, a courtyard garden to the rear and a roof terrace. In the winter months, the subtle lighting, candles and warm atmosphere makes the whole experience a cosy one.
